Benefits of Coconut Water

Coconut water has been called a miracle, a cure and a hangover fix. It is none of those. It is water from a coconut, which turns out to be quite good on its own. Here is the honest list.

It hydrates
Like most things that are mostly water, it is good at the one job water has. The only difference is that this one tastes faintly of where it came from.

The electrolytes are already in there
Young coconut water naturally contains potassium, magnesium and a little sodium. We did not add them. The coconut did, while we were not looking.

Around 22 kcal per 100 ml
No added sugar. The sweetness it has is the sweetness it grew with, nothing poured in afterwards.

One ingredient
No concentrate, no flavouring, nothing rebuilt in a factory. What is in the can is what was in the coconut. That is the entire benefit, and somehow the hardest one to find.
